ASA and SBA’s Office of the National Ombudsman
In the fall, ASA will once again host a webinar with the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of the National Ombudsman. Their mission is to achieve regulatory fairness while leveling the playing field for small businesses. Many of our ASA members are small businesses that are required to comply with federal regulations and they probably even experienced fines or penalties from federal agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service, the Environmental Protection Agency, or the Occupational Safety & Health Administration, to name a few. The Office of the National Ombudsman can assist our members with:
- regulatory disputes with federal agencies;
- unfair penalties and fines;
- remedies when rules are inconsistently applied; and
- recovering payment for services performed by government contractors.
