FY22 Budget Resolution

Once the Senate votes on the infrastructure package, Majority Leader Schumer said the chamber will immediately consider FY22 budget resolution with reconciliation instructions before leaving for the August recess. Senator McConnell will be making every effort to derail the reconciliation package, which he called “a sprawling $3.5 trillion socialist shopping list and a huge set of painful tax hikes.” House Speaker Pelosi has made commitments to the progressive wing of her conference to hold off any action on the bipartisan physical infrastructure bill until the House receives the $3.5 trillion package with the bulk of President Biden’s Build Back Better and family plan.
