ASA Supports the White House Conference on Small Business Act of 2025
ASA has a long history of supporting the White House Conference on Small Business Act of 2025, which is set to be reintroduced by Reps. Finstad (R-MN) and Davis (D-NC). This legislation aims to reauthorize and amend the White House Conference on Small Business Authorization Act from the early 1990s, known as Public Law 101-409. This "process" bill is designed to amplify the voices of small business owners and address a wide range of small business issues. ASA members, as small business owners, will have the opportunity to attend state-based conventions. Those selected or elected by their peers may even participate in the National Conference. This initiative allows ASA to actively contribute to the development of the final Small Business Administration (SBA) authored report, which can be utilized by any Administration or Congress in the future.
ASA offered the following statement supporting this legislation: "the American Subcontractor Association (ASA) stands with Reps. Brad Finstad (R-MN) and Don Davis (D-NC) with their introduction of the White House Conference on Small Business Act of 2025. This important legislation not only meets the immediate needs of construction subcontractors, but it will also contribute to a more predictable and fair business environment for all stakeholders in the construction industry as they navigate the demands of federal procurement. We thank these members of Congress for their prodigious work on this legislative effort.” Courtney Little, Co-Chair of Government Relations Committee, American Subcontractor Association
