This Week in Congress

This week, the House is not in session, but the Senate held nomination votes, along with voting on the U.S. Innovation and Competition Act (S. 1260) and the House-passed COMPETES Act, which both aim to boost some domestic innovation and provide billions for semiconductor manufacturing.  Finally, the Ocean Shipping Reform Act, a bill intended to unlock port bottlenecks that have snarled shipments, was voted on by the Senate Commerce Committee.
