This Week in Congress

Last Thursday, Congress passed a continuing resolution to fund the government until December 3, 2021.  Additionally, last week the House voted 365-51 for a 30 day extension of surface transportation programs in light of the delayed vote on a bipartisan infrastructure bill.  Last Saturday, Speaker Pelosi set a new deadline of October 31st for the House to pass the bipartisan infrastructure bill.  The House is not in session this week beginning a two-week committee work period and the Senate debated and voted on the federal debt limit.
