Bidding & Market Development
Entrepreneurs deserve a chance to succeed in construction markets. Healthy construction markets require adequate private and public investments in construction, as well as a bidding system whose integrity is preserved at all times.
ASA represents construction subcontractors before government at all levels in support of policies promoting healthy construction markets and competition. This includes supporting infrastructure and building investments, tax incentives, and a bidding system that is fair to all bidders. ASA works with its industry partners through coalitions to support adequate construction funding levels, and advocates for federal and state laws to stop unethical practices like "electronic reverse bid auctions." ASA also educates members about market trends such as green building, building information modeling, and ethics programs.
