ASA and ASA of California on Nov. 25, 2014, asked the California Supreme Court to grant a petition for review, or at the least de-publish the case of Moorefield Construction v. Intervest-Mortgage Investment Company, because the appeals court’s misinterpretation of state civil code adversely impacts the construction industry and the right to secure payment via a mechanic’s lien.
