ASA Excellence in Ethics Certificate

NEW! Order a FREE multimedia CD-ROM of the Excellence in Ethics Certificate Informational Webinar, presented by members of the ASA Task Force on Ethics in the Construction Industry. Click Here!

In an effort to promote ethical and equitable business practices, ASA recognizes those subcontractors that demonstrate the highest standards of internal and external integrity in the construction industry with the Excellence in Ethics Certificate.

The Excellence in Ethics Certificate will be granted annually based on criteria in three categories:

  • Corporate Ethics Policy and Procedure,
  • Construction Industry Practices, and
  • General Business Practices.

Each applicant that completes the application and provides sufficient proof of exemplary ethics policies and practices, in accordance with the judging criteria available at right, shall be awarded the Excellence in Ethics Certificate at the ASA Business Forum and Convention 2009 in Nashville, Tennessee, March 5-7, 2009.

In addition to the entry form, all applicants are required to submit a processing fee of $350.00.

Submission requirements include policy statements, training documents, and three signed and sealed, confidential letters of recommendation. Some of the required documents include a corporate code of conduct, whistleblower policy, and conflict of interest plan. Models of these policies will be available soon.

Applications are due to ASA headquarters no later than December 12, 2008.

Applications will be reviewed by a committee of volunteers and ASA staff. All materials will remain confidential, and will not be reviewed by a competitor.
